Like a Single Pomegranate - Souad Abdelrasoul

Almas Art Foundation proudly presented Like a Single Pomegranate, a week-long celebration of the extraordinary work of Egyptian artist Souad Abdelrasoul, curated by Sahar Behairy, at The Fitzrovia Gallery, London. The exhibition brought together a striking selection of paintings and drawings that reflect Abdelrasoul’s exploration of womanhood, identity, and resilience within patriarchal structures.

Her richly symbolic works intertwine the human body with elements of nature and literature, revealing layered narratives of empowerment, self-discovery, and emotional complexity. The exhibition also marked the launch of a short documentary film and an accompanying publication featuring essays by Sahar Behairy, Dr Orabi Mohamed Fayad, and Fatima Ali, produced by Almas Art Foundation. Through this multifaceted project, Like a Single Pomegranate invited audiences into a deeply poetic and thought-provoking journey through the artist’s world.
